ABSTRACT: 

  The study of the relationship between language and music has been a fast-growing area of research in the last decade or so, promoting  active
interdisciplinary collaboration between psychology, neuroscience, linguistics,musicology, anthropology and AI laboratories.I will explore recent trends in 
this field, including evolutionary implications as well as outcomes for applied research and intervention, and I will illustrate some work carried out recently in my lab.
