讲座提要： 

An aesthetic injustice is a relatively large scale social arrangement that harms people in their capacities as aesthetic agents, specifically those capacities that serve interests in the diversity and autonomy of aesthetic cultures. The first lecture contrasted aesthetic injustice with weaponized aesthetics, and it characterized the interests in the diversity and autonomy of aesthetic cultures. What is needed next is an argument that aesthetic injustice exists—that is, that we do in fact have interests in the diversity and autonomy of aesthetic cultures. This lecture gives one argument. Appropriation of aesthetic cultures, specifically the cultures of Indigenous people, is a form of weaponized aesthetics. However, we do not get a full understanding of how aesthetic appropriation is weaponized until we see how it implicates aesthetic injustice. In particular, the cultural appropriation can contravene an interest in the autonomy of aesthetic cultures.

  DOMINIC MARIO LOPES，不列颠哥伦比亚大学哲学系基拉姆大学教授，专长美学。加拿大皇家学会会员，曾任加拿大理事会基拉姆研究员、古根海姆研究员、国家人文中心研究员、彼得-沃尔高级研究所杰出学者、华威大学勒弗霍姆客座研究教授。曾获得两项教学奖、《哲学季刊》论文奖、加拿大哲学协会论文奖、美国美学学会杰出专著奖、基拉姆研究奖,以及美国哲学学会奎因奖。
