Maria Shevtsova, Chair Professor of Drama and Theatre Arts, Goldsmiths, University of London.  Publications include: The Cambridge Introduction to Theatre Directing, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2013 (co-authored); Directors/Directing: Conversations on Theatre, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2009 (co-authored); Sociology of Theatre and Performance, Verona: QuiEdit, 2009; Robert Wilson, London and New York: Routledge, 2007; Jean Genet: Performance and Politic, London: Palgrave Macmillan, 2006, (co-editor and author of one chapter); Fifty Key Theatre Directors, London and New York: Routledge, 2005 (co-editor and author of entries); Dodin and the Maly Drama Theatre: Process to Performance, London and New York: Routledge, 2004. Author of over 150 articles in refereed journals and chapters of collected volumes. Permanent co-editor of international journal New Theatre Quarterly (Cambridge University Press). Member of the Editorial Team of Critical Stages, online journal of the International Association of Theatre Critics and of Stanislavski Studies, online and Bloomsbury Press, London, among other journals. She is a member of the Academy of Europe (2011).
