提要：In recent years, growing instability has marked the international political framework. To understand why, two approaches are available to us. The first is to focus on a selection of macro-political phenomena, such as, for example, the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States, the Brexit referendum, or the various forms of populism steering national and international debate. The second is to retrace, instead, the deeper causes of an instability that is fast becoming endemic.The fundamental idea around which this talk revolves is that both the poor conceptualization of political entities and the failure to recognize the importance of transgenerationality ultimately depend on the fact that both our common sense and our specialists have underestimated the role of time in the organization of social and political life.      

  Taking as its starting point debates over the various contemporary theory in social ontology, this talk discusses some of the major theories offered by both the philosophy of society and the contemporary social ontology. It then looks at the problem of relationship between generation (transgenerationality) as one of the key-points to understand a lot of critical issues of contemporary societies.    

主讲人简介：   

Tiziana Andina is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Turin, Italy. She has been a fellow of Columbia University, New York, United States (2008–09) and Käte Hamburger Kolleg, University of Bonn, Germany (2015), as well as Visiting Professor at ITMO University, Saint Petersburg, Russia (2014). She has published many articles on philosophy and the philosophy of art in several internationals journals. Her recent work concerns the definition of art and social ontology. Her publications include: Il volto Americano di Nietzsche (La Città del Sole, 1999); Il problema della percezione nella filosofia di Nietzsche (Albo Versorio, 2005); Arthur Danto: Philosopher of Pop (Cambridge Scholars, 2011), The Philosophy of Art: The Question of Definition.  From Hegel to Post-Dantian Theories  (Bloomsbury Academy, 2013), An Ontology for Social Reality (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2016) and as an editor: Bridging the Analytical Continental Divide. A Companion to Contemporary Western Philosophy (Brill, 2014). She is co-editor of the international journal Brill Research Perspectives in Art and Law and of the international series Analytic Aesthetics and Contemporary Art (Bloomsbury Academic).
